Maintain your #1 Rankings

Reached the top. What Next?
Maintain you position!!

There are still quite a few things you can do to solidify your position at the top and further increase traffic and conversion:
1. Contact bloggers and ask them to link from existing content from their sites.
2. Encourage natural links that come about from a top listing.
3. Temporarily remove advertising.
4. Try adding a second indented listing to your search result. For example, if you have a #1 ranking and a #9 ranking for a keyword using the same domain name, Google will automatically bump up the #10 ranking to #2. So essentially you only need to get to #9 for a #2 ranking.
5. Work on improving your Social media network. Networking sites like Twitter and Facebook have a ton of user data. Be active in these areas promoting your site if you’re not already.

Thursday, February 17th, 2011

Every business needs customers inorder to grow. This is not a difficult task for an online business. To increase visitors to your website you just need to make sure you are looking in the right place. People who require your product will and can draw some value from it will be willing and easy customers.

So how do you increase visitors to your blog or your site. Be found. Identify the typical user likely to use your service. Provide information that will be of use to the visitor.

Don’t stop at one form of marketing.  Combine on page and off page strategies to enhance your organic results while at the same time engaging in pay-per-click marketing that is targeted and effective.  In combination, these techniques can take your marketing to the next level.

If you think that you have enough resources and time to spend on social media optimization to get traffic – find out a niche network where people deal specifically in your domain. For example if your site is selling pet products, you can think about joining and developing a profile at www.dogster.com. This will also help you develop a working network with other professionals in your field. To add to this, it would also work to create an online cumulative brand identity of your business and take  to the next level.
